Akeso’s Long Socks sit between the ankle and knee, covering the lower leg where most standard socks stop short. Built with Metis PCA™ fibre, they’re a practical choice for work, sport, and daily wear where foot and lower leg hygiene matters.

Key Advantages

  • Odour Control: Metis PCA™ fibre is independently tested antibacterial, eliminating the bacteria that cause foot odour rather than masking it.
  • Antimicrobial & Antifungal: The antibacterial and antifungal properties are built into the polymer structure of the fibre, not applied as a surface coating, so they don’t wash out.
  • Temperature Regulation: Thermo-regulating fibres help keep feet comfortable across a range of conditions, warm in cooler environments and cooler when it heats up.
  • Moisture Wicking: Moisture is wicked away from the skin to keep feet dry and reduce discomfort during extended wear.
  • Blister Reduction: A close fit and padded construction minimise friction, reducing the likelihood of blisters during high-activity or long-shift use.
  • Low Wash Frequency: The antimicrobial properties mean these socks stay fresh longer between washes, practical for travel and multi-day use.

Akeso’s Long Socks work well with work boots, casual footwear, and athletic shoes. The added length provides coverage for the lower leg and holds position through a full day of wear without slipping down.

Wash & Care Instructions

  • Machine Wash: Warm or cold water, as needed. Wash inside out to manage any initial fluffing of the Metis PCA™ fibre.
  • Avoid Bleach & Fabric Softener: Both can degrade the moisture-wicking and antimicrobial properties of the fibre over time.
  • Drying: Tumble dry or air dry. Either is fine.

Metis PCA™ fibre has been independently tested to AATCC 100-2012 standard, achieving a 99.95% bacterial reduction rate. It also carries Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification, confirming it is free from harmful substances.
