Claims too good to be true
We completely understand that what we are achieving with our proprietary METIS PCA Fibre and the claims that we are making are “too good to be true”. You may have felt this way after purchasing another product that has similar claims and it has left you feeling a bit cheated. Which has given us a bit of a challenge with our socks – to convince you, the customer, that the claims we are making are based on scientific fact.
Testing competitors
Based on feedback we have received online, we decided to put some of our competitors to the test to find out how METIS PCA Fibre stands up against other fibres that claim to be antibacterial.
Where were the tests conducted?
We have tested our socks, and socks purchased either online or locally in Melbourne, with Thor Specialties Pty Ltd who are part of the international Thor Group.
The method
We have tested to AATCC Test method 100-2012 Antibacterial Finishes on Textile Materials.
The objective
The objective is to provide a quantitative evaluation of the anti-bacterial activity in a sock sample.
The results
As seen below, the results speak for themselves. They were surprising enough for Thor to retest the competitor products to make sure the results were conclusive.
